Ikefukuro Statue Guide at Ikebukuro Station

To reach this charming statue without getting lost, your best strategy is to look for signs pointing to "Ikefukuro" or the "East Exit (N)".

This guide will walk you through the fastest routes from five different JR gates:

1. JR North Gate(approx. 1 minute)
2. JR Central Gate1(approx. 2 minutes)
3. JR Central Gate2 (approx. 2 minutes)
4. JR South Gate(approx. 3 minutes)
5. JR Metropolitan Gate (approx. 6 minutes)

If you need a quick break while waiting, “Cafe&Bar RAGE ST” is just a one-minute walk from the Ikefukuro statue, making it a highly recommended spot to relax.

The JR North Gate is the closest starting point to the Ikefukuro statue.

Turn right immediately after exiting the gate.

Follow the signboards indicating the way to the Ikefukuro statue and head straight.

Go up the stairs, and you will arrive directly at the Ikefukuro statue meeting spot.

Note: This area can get very crowded, so the Ikefukuro statue might be slightly hidden behind people waiting.

Turn left just past the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line ticket gate (which will be on your right).

Continue straight ahead, keeping an eye on the "Ikefukuro" signs. The Ikefukuro statue is at the very end of this corridor.

Walk straight to the end of the pathway to find the Ikefukuro statue.

Turn left after exiting the gate.

Walk straight, passing the "MIGNON" shop on your left and the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line ticket gate on your right.

Take the next left turn just past the Yurakucho Line ticket gate.

Follow the signs for the "East Exit (N)" and continue straight until you reach the Ikefukuro statue at the end.

Make a U-turn to your right after exiting the gate.

Walk straight past the "STATION WORK" booths on your right, then turn left at the end.

Go down two sets of escalators.

Walk diagonally to your left and continue straight, passing a Lawson convenience store on your left.

Turn left when you see a pillar marked "SEIBU".

Walk straight through "Azalea Road" (the line of pillars).

Continue straight ahead, keeping an eye on the "Ikefukuro" signs. The Ikefukuro statue is at the very end of this corridor.
