Since Friday, April 17, 2026 to Monday, March 22, 2027, the stamp rally “Kamakura Irodori Trip” invites visitors to explore Kamakura’s temples and tourist attractions while collecting stamps to create a one-of-a-kind handkerchief.
You can freely collect stamps on a special handkerchief created through a collaboration between JR Kamakura Station and Maker's Shirt Kamakura. Stamps can be collected at 19 specially selected spots recommended by the staff of JR Kamakura Station.
Theme: “Dispersed Tourism”
“Kamakura Irodori Trip” encourages visitors to go beyond Kamakura’s well-known tourist attractions and discover the city’s hidden charms. By exploring different neighborhoods and collecting stamps along the way, participants can experience a richer and more diverse side of Kamakura.
Stamps are placed at 19 locations across Kamakura, including temples, cultural institutions, and tourist facilities. The event promotes a more balanced distribution of visitors throughout the city, helping to ease congestion at popular sites while allowing participants to enjoy Kamakura at a more relaxed pace.
The rally is designed to be enjoyable not only for first-time visitors, but also visitors have visited Kamakura many times more than before. Why not explore Kamakura while creating your own original handkerchief as part of your journey?
